Nordstrom – “Commission as income”
Pros
Commission is motivational and your pay is decided by your hard work. This is good for the most part. Your personality is everything.
Cons
Their return policy....it's non-existant. Returns hurt the employee and the company. Many people abuse the return policy. This can be extremely frustrating.
Advice to Senior Management
I would say that hitting the employee with a return is fair only if the merchandise was not faulty. If the merchandise was returned because it is defective (ripped/damanged well before it's time) that should not go against the employee's sales.
