I have been working at Nordstrom part-time (less than an year)

Pros

401k, dental plan, and health plan.

Cons

If you worked at the one I have then you will regret ever working here. Lazy assistants that take 20 minute bathroom brakes, employees will be taking there time to prep when really busy, and working by yourself on bar when busy with 8+ drinks by yourself multiple times. Worst of all manager wouldl fail to see this because he would leave early everyday. All that matters is the amount of money being made. And every body talks about each other and complains about work. Terrible scheduling.

I have been working at Nordstrom full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Good Pay, discounts at Store, Rack, E-Bar and Cafe and thats it. Benefits are good also, generous healthcare. Mostly monetary benefits.

    Cons

Company culture, cliquey, fake management and sales people. No sense of community or equality. Not professional at all, very social if you know the right people or right look they want. Silent politics and hidden rules.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Need to improve dynamics of company to accept all employees and promote from within.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Nordstrom full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Commission is great when the store is busy and has great foot traffic

    Cons

management, time-off policies, return policy can effect sales drastically, no money to be made if store is slow with no foot traffic

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

encourage more employees to apply to FNL, focus on employees skills and see what path would benefit them instead of just letting them quit when they are fed up

    Doesn't Recommend
    Neutral Outlook
    Approves of CEO
