I worked at Nordstrom Rack part-time for less than a year

    Pros

They have great starting pay for people with no retail experience and are very helpful in teaching you all you need to know about your department. I loved all my coworkers and everybody had their own unique personality that brought a lot to the store as a whole.

    Cons

Depending on the department, markdowns can be very early in the mornings (3am) and you don't often get to work a full 40 hours a week.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I think the stores are great but there is a return policy that we have but rarely follow. Why not just make it like Nordstrom and put the bar codes on the back? It would satisfy your customers more and keep the employees from having to deal with irate customers for us being "Not very Nordstrom like."

I have been working at Nordstrom Rack part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Some what flexible hours, friendly work environment, employee discount with bigger discount days scheduled throughout the year, Many different tasks so you don't get bored. You are pretty much on your own in the store to do the tasks you enjoy most. Managers are kind and easy to get along with.

    Cons

Working weekends, not a high paying position, hours can fluctuate
