Enjoyable Staff

Lab Tech (Former Employee) Raleigh, NC

ProsEmployees (and students!) are quite willing to help and collaborate when needed. I actually never encountered a staff member or faculty member that I didn't enjoy speaking with and/or working with.

The campus is gorgeous and fun to traverse (despite being so large). Raleigh is also a great tight-knit city.

ConsIt was only a part-time job and there was no real option to move into a full-time position (not that I expected there to be).

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

University Recreation is a great place to work, especially within intramural sports.

Intramural Sports Official (Current Employee) Raleigh, NC

I have been working at North Carolina State University part-time for more than a year

Pros: Convenient on-campus location (across the street from my dorm) Very flexible hours I feel respected and… Cons: Annoying to deal with the players sometimes, but the intramural… Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend More

Worth it in the end, but leaves a bad after-taste.

Research Assistant (Current Employee) Raleigh, NC

I have been working at North Carolina State University as a contractor for less than a year

Pros: Quality research in thermal, fluids, solid mechanics and materials. Rigorous academics… Cons: Funding issues (I received it 3 semesters after starting my master's). Graduate… Advice to Senior Management: Change internship policy for graduate students who aren't pursuing research… Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend More
