I worked at North Dakota State University full-time (more than an year)

Pros

the environment, colleagues, students - all was great. Fargo is a small place and that's why i like it most. like the calm and quiet surrounding, the summer of fargo (really awesome). lots of activities, college night, job fair, etc.
Very inexpensive place to live in, low rent.
best thing in ECE dept. of NDSU was the program fee meeting (once in each semester). in this meeting all student and staff used to meet in one place to spend the money came from program fee for the betterment of the dept & the students. every suggestions were counted and voted by the students for final approval.

Cons

Very low salary - even if compared to other departments of the same university. Have to invest more time than you are paid for. The weather is not that good - I liked the snow, but not the wind, tooooo cold. no place to spend spare times.
High health insurance payment

    Cons

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management is already thinking about the development of the university. I don't have any comments on that.

I have been working at North Dakota State University full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    Excellent research facilities, good professors..

    Cons

No work/life balance, city offers very little, outdated classrooms and buildings. Most of the university looks just like the way it was built in 1900s. Library needs an update.
