I have been working at Northrop Grumman

Pros

Smart Coworkers, cool work, challenging tasks. There is a lot of opportunity to grow. There is also a lot of opportunity to learn.

Cons

There are several slow periods. There are also times when you are waiting for a position prior to having a clearance.

    Pros

    Salary and benefits
Build hardware that changes the world

    Cons

Management is mostly interested in cost and schedule, they have lost all sight of keeping an edge technically over the competition. They are overworking everyone, and their best talent is burning out and leaving to the compettion or they are quick to retire.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Your employees are the most valuable asset the company has, they should be treated as more valuable than the share holders.

I have been working at Northrop Grumman

    Pros

They appreciate the work life balance and strive to ensure employees are given oppurtunities to balance work and life. The 9/80 work week is helpful althought not consistent throughout the company, good benefits packages and depending on work location and job many promote working from home.

    Cons

No room for creative development, everything is dependent on government funding and peoples ability to kiss up and make sure the customer (internal and external are happy. There is no consistency throughout the company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Communicate your needs and stand up for what is good for the company instead of always doing it "that way" because that is how the customer has always seen it.
