Pros

Stability, pace of work that provides work-life balance. This is a great company for people who have honed their skills in their chosen field but wants more stability, competitive pay, a well-established and a brand-name company.

Cons

May not be the place for younger employees looking for small-company type atmosphere.

    Pros

Depends on specific work locations but generally a good place to work. Good work-life balance (with telecommuting, 9/80, etc. options at some locations). Interesting work. Good environment to do good work.

    Cons

As with other companies, much depends on your immediate manager. It can make or break the job. It can take some initiative to get what you want or need (which not not necessarily a bad thing).

    Advice to Management

CEO is excellent. Advice would be to make sure to take care of employees especially in this time of touch economic conditions.

  2. I had high, but unmet expectations.

    Pros

Among aerospace and defense sector contractors, it has a dynamic and imaginative executive bench who are very strategic in thinking. It attracts imaginative talent to work on leading edge projects. It contributes to the well being of active duty military personnel and their families, hires veterans, has an active K-12 program in STEM education, and has created work sites in rural locations of high unemployment.

    Cons

Mid management ranks are in need to improvement. Their leadership skills are weak and uninspiring at best.. Many mid-level managers have a style that is stuck mid-century, Information is often stopped at this level and parsed out sparingly as if employees are outsiders.

    Advice to Management

Mid-level management (Director level and below) need to "certified" as leaders with 360 degree feedback mandatory. Your mid-level managers are the ones who keep your new hires engaged and retained or discouraged and anxious to leave. Your mid-level managers are too busy trying to "manage up" playing office politics rather than helping their teams succeed and adding value.
