I worked at Northrop Grumman full-time for more than 10 years

Pros

Benefits and total compensation are very good if you have enough seniority. Possible to work on a diverse number of projects if you haver the needed skills.

Cons

Decision-making is slow at best. Hard to break into some of the pre-destined cliques. Management believes any manage can manage any part of the business without regard to understanding the business itself.

I have been working at Northrop Grumman full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great place if you're lazy and prefer to not really work.

    Cons

NG ES has managed to boil every job down to the most menial and excruciatingly boring task. There are so many layers of management, and non of them seem to have a clue. Raises come once a year if you're lucky and they don't keep up with inflation. The convoluted performance appraisal system is just a way for them to waste your time and in the end you'll receive the going raise +/- 1% depending on how your manager likes you.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop conducting gallup surveys to try to figure out how to better engage your employees. Drastic changes need to be made, nothing from a survey is going to help explain how to fix the severe cultural issues.
