I have been working at Northrop Grumman full-time for more than 8 years

Pros

cutting edge technologies, interesting programs, super smart workers, dedicated people, diverse working group, old and wise ones to learn from, new and energetic college hires.

Cons

management structure is changing. ten years ago, this was a great place to work from the top down. they have since brought in new upper management, and things have gradually become more internally political. makes me NOT want to be a manager.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

The company is too top heavy. We have too many layers of management. And, constraints you're putting on your homeroom managers is making us lose our best people.

I have been working at Northrop Grumman full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Good facility, few very bright people.

    Cons

Low salary. Most engineers do not keep up with current technology. Management is out of touch with current technology and does not try to put the right people with the right skill sets in the right job. Management is not generous on paying for technical training for their employees. Their business is declining. There are too much internal politics between various sites, work place bullying (taking credit for other people's work) is common.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management needs to keep up with current technologies. They need to put more efforts into matching people's skill sets to the right jobs. They need to be more generous in technical training. They need to support more innovation and help their employees in preventing work place bullying.
