Overall, a good company to work for

Manufacturing Engineer (Former Employee) Apopka, FL

Pros*Great environment for those who like loose management (not the case 100% of the time though)
*Good benefits (Education reimbursement, 401K, health, etc)
*The company as a whole is great - fantastic CEO
*Good facilities
*Many opportunities to learn from knowledgeable people
*Fascinating work

Cons*Very, very little accountability; those who were a detriment to the company weren't dealt with very well or at all
*Very little acknowledgement for those who performed in an outstanding manner. Generally in the form of "Lets just make everyone feel good" rather than pointing out stellar contributors
*Multiple reductions in force over the last couple of years, >50% downsizing in my division
*Poor communication between management and the production floor
*Poor design for manufacturing
*Poor designs in general many times
*Military contract dependant

Advice to Senior ManagementI can't even being to stress how important communication is... all the way down the line.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend

Robust transition experience from senior military officer to mid-level manager in a major corporation

Project Manager (Former Employee) Virginia Beach, VA

I worked at Northrop Grumman full-time for more than 3 years

Pros: You are hired for your demonstrated ability to get the job done, company gives you significant room for professional autonomy which not giving you too… Cons: Too little resources for new hires (managers) to get acquainted… Advice to Senior Management: N/A Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company… More
