    I worked at Northrop Grumman full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Benefits are quite good. Compensation is adequate for the location. HIstorically the opeartion was Sperry Marine and the employees take pride in thier products and results of operation. This organization (NG Charlottesville) can be an excellent career stepping stone if you are willing to play the NG game.

    Cons

    Top management tends to want employees to give all and then expect little in return. Thus work/life balance is quit bad. Middle managment operates via intimidation. Workpace can be what may be considered hostile at times. Senior management believes that the only good ideas come from NG Sector.

    Advice to Management

    Respect your people and and involve them, they have a history that can make your future better. And remember, without the people, the shareholders don't make a dime. The people make NG, not managers.
