I worked at Northrop Grumman full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

NG maintained a training budget that employees could use with their manager's approval. Training required a 1 year commitment to remain with NG.

    Cons

Almost impossible to advance out of a billable position. Once they had you brining in a check from the customer, they did not want you to leave for another position within the company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Allow your employees to develop full careers instead of thinking of them purely as a piece of a contract vehicle.

I worked at Northrop Grumman full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Still looks like a good place to start a carreer.

    Cons

Senior employees, it is best to move on if you can. Erosion of benefits and retirement make it even more compelling to do so.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You have clearly been loosing top software/systems engineers over the past few years. Your talent is leaving to Bit Systems in droves. It appeared to me that recent reorganizations seem to have left no single corporate entity with an interest in growing the business in Aurora. Raytheon is eating your lunch.
