I have been working at Northrop Grumman

Pros

Benefits, good pay, enjoyable work environment with opportunities to contribute early on, awesome projects to work on (especially if you love airplanes!).

Cons

Sometimes you can feel lost in such a large company. Management is not always good at keeping you informed of the big picture on programs.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep employees well informed of the big picture. Recognize people that contribute. Support young engineers in their professional development and furthering their education.

I have been working at Northrop Grumman

    Pros

The job offers flexible hours as well as good health care and benefits. In addition they are willing to pay for educational growth including masters degrees in related fields. There are opportunities to move t other sites and divisions.

    Cons

Information sharing can be a challenge as well as somewhat closed mindedness. Somewhat easy to get stuck in a role starting out of school.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Provide more information to new employees and make an effort to break up your busy day to let them know what they need to know and provide better indoctrination.

I have been working at Northrop Grumman

    Pros

Northrop really respects their employees and is very focused on work/life balance. They really go after college students for internships and their personal development program, which is great for 'touring' different offices for a few years.

They also have telecommuting for some work, and its likely to get easier to this in the future!

    Cons

The compensation is not as high as some of the other defense contractors, but its not too far off and the benefits of working @ NGC probably outweigh the difference.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep up the good work. The focus on work/life balance is important in today's busy life.
