I worked at Northrop Grumman full-time (more than 10 years)

Pros

Benefits were excellent. 401K match. Tuition reimbursement. A lot of freedom to work the job.

Cons

Difficult to move laterally withing the company. No clear cut guidelines on career progression.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Start some type of "Your career with NG - 101" class that is given yearly. This would list and discuss the steps in developing one's career over the long term with NG. Talk about what is possible.

    I have been working at Northrop Grumman full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

    There is some flexibility in choosing your working hours and taking time off for personal business.
    There are good people in the trenches doing the actual work.

    Cons

    There is not much room for advancement once you get a few years in if you are technical and don't want to go into management.
    They are top heavy on upper and mid level management.

    give people at least a small cost of living adjustment every year
