Pros

The most exciting, interesting technology I've ever worked on, with some of the sharpest people

Cons

Large bureaucracy, and the ultimate boss driving the bureacracy is congress, the most fickle and near-sighted customer you can imagine.

Advice to Management

* use and contribute to open source projects to get the latest and greatest capabilities * use knowledgebases, not wikis and forums * use company-wide VCS for all documents and software

    Pros

Location, opportunities, benefits, education assistance, pay, the value of having a well-known name next to yours.

    Cons

Difficulty transitioning within the company from one position to another, a mixture of high achievers & slackers (80/20 rule applies here)...nothing out of the ordinary.

    Advice to Management

    Come together...right now...over me.
