Great company overall

I worked at Northrop Grumman

Pros

Full company benefits and regular raises. Groups are like separate companies almost.

Cons

Quarterly review process is quite silly (setting goals for yourself but goals are whatever the contract is that you are working on).

I worked at Northrop Grumman part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Northrop Grumman is a great employer with generous benefits and very interesting work. The range of technical and engineering jobs spans a swath of disciplines that suit almost any recent grad interested in tec.

    Cons

As with all contracting companies, cutbacks and downturns come with risks. If a contact dries up, so does your job.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Work for your company, but don't forget your employees.

I have been working at Northrop Grumman full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Worked with a lot of cool technology and got a lot of good hands on learning experience. Benefits were really great.

    Cons

seems to have cycles of hiring and layoffs. Promotions and pay increase process seem to be heavily weighted on who you are friends with. I was told I had a great year but only so many people can be promoted so maybe next year...for a few years.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

reward and try to hold on to the good new hires
