Pros

Cares about employees! DUring the goverment shutdown almost ALL other contractoring companies forced workers to use ALL personal time and then go UNPAID....Northrop Paid contractors for 3 weeks to work at home and complete internal projects and courses! A BLESSING !

Cons

Cant think of any, the only con is other government contractors don't act like Northrop Grumman

I have been working at Northrop Grumman (more than an year)

    Pros

Laid back environment, work from home when you need to, low stress, good pay

    Cons

Inefficient culture that stems for government and defense contracts, poor intern development (in my case, very dependent on your manager some are very good)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focus on creating a leaner organization that empowers decision makers. It seemed like everything needed approval from 9 people before anything could get done.

I have been working at Northrop Grumman full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

The technology and technical challenges in the projects can make for interesting work depending on the program you work on.

    Cons

Out dated culture - for a company that designs next generation technologies they are not quick to adapt to using newer technologies.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Engagement starts with the company leadership and there needs to be clearly identified initiatives that the leadership is willing to pursue. The engagement is 100% focused on bottom up and the top down is completely ignored.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO
