Pros

Worked on a project that was actually utilized by the company. Team was very focused and engaged on helping me feel welcome and understand how things ran at the company.

Cons

Usually work on only one project as an intern which is predictable, but success is oriented on the outcome of that project.

Advice to Management

Continue to invest in interns because they are potentially the future employees if they are given the chance to come back and actually decide too.

    Pros

If you are on a client site, NG pretty much leaves you alone to do your work.

    Cons

VERY difficult to move up. The division I was in didn't invest in your career advancement.
You have to be careful in which division and what contract you work on. Some margins are so tight that raises are very stingy.

    Advice to Management

Ensure career advancement for your experienced, non-mgt performers.

    Pros

good people, challenging work. There were a good number of projects that required different skill sets such that you could push in different directions

    Cons

subject to liberal cut backs. As with all jobs that depend on the needs of the Department of Defense it was not uncommon for work to be slowed or canceled because of congressional bickering

    Advice to Management

Understand that long-range planning is important
