Pros

Lots of managerial support, nearly endless resources, exciting work, high visibility, often rewarding, especially if you're a 'hawk' type.

Cons

Can get drowned in management, mired in spreadsheets and EVMS, endless meetings, some people should be fired but never will be, could work 14 hrs/day 7 days/week, security (IT) think they are Gods but are only just competent, way WAY too much IT infrastructure overhead, I'm guessing $20 million/year could be saved by replacing the timecard system.

Advice to Senior Management

More input from employees into their personal computing environment, don't need to call an 800 # in Nebraska to get MS office installed, replace the travel planning and the timecard software.
