I have been working at Northrop Grumman full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Long-term contracts and decent benefits if you're salary. High wages if you're hourly to offset the benefits.

    Cons

Very little room for advancement, if any. Leadership is rarely, if ever, on the same page. Hours can be long, and extended travel is mandatory. Rarely follow their word/promises/agreements to employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Like any good relationship, communication is key. The clarity of reporting hours and expenses varies between mid-level management at my location, and rarely are employees treated equally. Hiring of unqualified people based on upper managements mandates has become a real issue.

I worked at Northrop Grumman as a contractor (more than a year)

    Pros

Priding ourselves as being the best. Other companies and customers took you seriously.

    Cons

Strick. Everyone having to agree with management, no room for negotiations.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Listen to employees.
