I have been working at Northrop Grumman full-time (more than a year)

Pros

In the DoD contracting world it all depends on the team and program you're on. Luckily, I had a good team and worked on great programs. People were willing to help. Management allowed me to experiment.

Cons

Like many other jobs out there, work can get busy and you will find yourself working long days!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Need to invest more NG money to develop products. Can't always rely on leveraging the customer's money.

I have been working at Northrop Grumman

    Pros

-allowed to move into new positions that i found within the company
-competitive salary if you are a high performer
-new bonus structure greatly rewards high performers
    -tuition reimbursement
-friendly management if you are not a total slouch
-opportunity to work on incredibly challenging projects
-401k matching is 7% for new hires

    Cons

-you can get stuck in a rut if you do not look out for yourself because most managers are too busy to do it for you
-lack of new contracts means lack of growth
-Benefits are being reeled in but they are still not too bad
-a lot of old, fat, lazy, highly paid, white people who make a lot of money and are incredibly inefficient.
-high stress for project managers who do not have a lot of choice on their staffing nor do they have the ability to easily fire under performers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

keep our stock price moving up, keep the v-rifs coming, keep hiring young, smart, motivated engineers.
