I have been working at Northrop Grumman full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

The company has a lot of different disciplines that you can be exposed to. I feel Northrop does its best to retain people and are upfront with most of their company decisions. The best part are the people, who work hard and treat each other with respect.

    Cons

A lot of the company benefits are changing recently. Perks and moral boosters are slowly declining as the company tries to be competitive in the market by cutting back on benefits that used to make them highly competitive.

I worked at Northrop Grumman full-time

    Pros

Northrop Grumman solicits input from employees in many ways: ideas, management contact, suggestion box. Colleagues well qualified and supportive.

    Cons

Not much support in locating another job if a contract changes or ends. Although a recruiter sent my resume out, there were no jobs for my job title. No real effort was made to link me up with other positions that were similar but with different names. Well, that's gov't contracting for you. You're on your own. By the way, 401k is not vested until 3 years employment. But then, if no contract, no employment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be serious about retaining employees with good track records. Serious means creative, enterprising, and as committed to the employee as NG is to the customer. A tall order...
