Pros

Flexible work schedule 9/80 Some managers try to help you succeed Most people are friendly with a few loners Workload is not overbearing Compensation is fair for an intern

Cons

Lack of networking activities Nepotism is evident throughout the company Relocation assistance was denied because I was 2 miles short of 50 miles one way No paid time off for interns

Advice to Management

Set up more activities outside of work for the interns to network.

    Pros

Worked in their Service's group providing IT Outsourcing support. NG was eager to provide their clients with support and paid the support staff very well. I really enjoyed my time on the account and was very sorry to see the contract come to a close. I loved working for NG.. they take care of their employees and provide a great sense of confidence and worth,

    Cons

IT Outsourcing is not NG's strong point.... they need to stick to making military defense products

    Advice to Management

If working outside the military area, bring in new management that is familiar and successfully with IT Outsourcing and ensure that senior management has full buy in of the opportunities.

    Pros

Good mentor-protege program to help the more junior employees. Work culture and interaction among employees is positive. Management does preach high ethics and desire for a diverse workforce. Work can be challenging and interesting. Good parking, cafeteria food, exercise room, and overall facility. Vacation time competitive with other large corporations in this business.

    Cons

Frequent organizational changes can sometimes lead to the feeling of job uncertainty/insecurity. Attitude towards job can be dependent on the quality and type of your manager.
