    Pros

Good company with solid products and great people. Plenty of options for career development and moving around within the company.

    Cons

As with any large company, it is less entrepreneurial than smaller shops. Expect less flexibility with your salary and work arrangement than smaller companies.

Current Employee - Electrical Engineer III - Senior Engineer in Baltimore, MD

I have been working at Northrop Grumman

    Pros

Overall a good place to work. Good opportunities due to the industry lacking mid-level employees, due to the downturn in defense in the 90s.

    Cons

Lower pay than a similar commerical industry opportunity. Big company. Easy to get pidgeon holed, feel like cog in the works, etc...

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Flexible work arrangements. More opportunities to work from home. The rest of the world is forging ahead on dealing with 2 working parent households, and due to the larger older contingency Northrop is not needing to, but it will come back to haunt them soon.
