I worked at Northrop Grumman full-time

    Pros

I worked onsite at the client and, compared to my time with a different defense contractor, we were pretty well left alone to do our client work without overwhelming corporate commitments.

    Cons

I was exposed to very few opportunities outside my current contract. The local managers were focused only on our contract and were not motivated to grow or maintain their young, ambitious talent.

I worked at Northrop Grumman as an intern (more than a year)

    Pros

Leadership showed a deep interest in the overall happiness and success of employees. The work was technically challenging and rewarding. The atmosphere was very positive and friendly. I was particularly impressed with the degree of organization that the company operates with. Everyone really seemed to be on the same page. People knew exactly what was expected of them and what they needed to do in order to accomplish their tasks.

    Cons

As a systems engineer, I didn't have much opportunity to put my college degree to work (though I had to use math and physics to solve problems). The only reason I left was to see if I would actually enjoy Electrical Engineering as opposed to Systems Engineering. Probably not the best reason to leave.
