Pros

many opportunities for young people and they have positions for most business majors. Very easy to apply online on their career site

Cons

each sector has different benefits, health plans, etc. Can get really confusing if you try to transfer sectors that is why most people dont do it.

Advice to Management

need more networking. Need to incorporate all benefits and health plans under one roof so that every receives the same thing.

    Pros

Profit sharing and multiple southern California sites are the big reasons to work at Northrop. Plenty of opportunities to learn through out the sites.

    Cons

Multiple managers across sites, and the country, make it tricky to figure out where you fit in. Some better on site facilities would be great (gym, etc).

    Advice to Management

Some more opportunities to learn from legacy programs at other locations would be a great asset in helping younger employees maintain the lessons learned.

    Pros

Good health and pension benefits. Good, intelligent people. Depending on area of expertise - many opportunities for advancement. Company management forward thinking.

    Cons

Long hours not always recognized - 12 + hour days and week-end work not unusual. Communication between senior managers to lower level managers to employees could be better.

    Advice to Management

Improve communication from Senior managment to lower level management and employees. Better recognize hard work and employee contributions (thank-you's or verbal recognition goes a long way.)
