    Pros

Students are wonderful; co-workers are also another reason for remaining employed at Northwestern Health Sciences University. Management, (VP's, Directors, and Managers) are all in the know and are friends with each other and HR but, don't share with their employees. The HR Department is zero help to its employees, if you're in Management/Senior Management or have been in those roles at Northwestern for a long time you're golden with HR.

    Cons

University is in the process of (once again) finding a new president to lead the University. Salaries aren't great; information isn't shared across departments and isn't shared by management. Poor career advancement and occasionally deliberately holding people back for political reasons, if you're not a major butt kisser, you move nowhere.

    Advice to Management

Clean house and get rid of some of the dead weight, way too many Directors! When hiring upper management or obtaining new board members, don't hire friends of the current leaders, that's where the problems with communication etc. happen and you get nowhere.

  2. Beaurocracy strikes!

    Pros

Benefits of free schooling after 6 months of employment, other benefits such as orthotics for free and experientials within the clinic for free massage, etc.

    Cons

Too many to list... the major issue is the complete lack of leadership and the fact that in the past four years we've had approximately five different bosses as well as new presidents, etc. The newest president is very cut throat and money hungry and has closed a clinic, laying off about 30 people, and we get e-mails at least once a week with a new cut.

    Advice to Management

Get your stuff together! Find a good leader and move on from there to build leadership. Support the clinics as they are a huge reason why you're getting revenue.
