Pros

-Learning about the world of finance. -The network and relationships you build -Complete autonomy of how you run your practice but with world-class training and help

Cons

-100% commissions-It's awesome when you have a great month.....not so nice when you have a good month -too much emphasis on numbers and quotas as opposed to individual development

Advice to Management

Not every one is driven by the same things or can be managed or inspired the same way. Take into consideration the varying personalities and work on people's individual strengths and weaknesses

    Cons

No forms of leads provided, want to prospect friends and family first and foremost. Difficult industry and looked down upon like a used car salesman

    Advice to Management

Keep adapting and exposing reps to all aspects of the business

    Pros

Strong institution with solid financial strength and a high-quality basic product of life insurance. After a great deal of careful analysis, I bought a policy myself. Their fiscal and investments performance in the meltdown of 2008 was stellar.

    Cons

Very "Mad Men" environment -- the Associates are nothing more than secretaries, regardless of education, experience, or credentials, and the culture is stuck in the 1960s, with all that that implies. Very surprising and disappointing to someone coming from a large corporate background.

    Advice to Management

This franchisee organization is starting to learn the "patter" of diversity and inclusion, but the reality is something altogether different, especially in the network offices, and signs of change are surface-level only.
