    I worked at Northwestern University

    Pros

Good benifits, liberal sick day policy. Laid back university environment, no expectations of success or competency.

    Cons

Quality of peers work was poor, no one to learn from professionally and the more talented team members tended to leave. The technical level of the staff did not match what I expected from a university of this renound.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Replace most directors in IT, hire some more qualified staff. Pay qualified people appropriately and let them have control over projects. Accountability.. You have a great brand you should be able to hire whoever you want.
