Pros – Great technology stack to work with
Willingness to explore open source options
Flex time available
Coworkers are friendly and helpful
Competitive pay and benefits
Not nearly as much bureaucracy as other larger companies I've worked for
No off-shoring of development that I'm aware of
Cons – Priorities shift constantly, making it difficult to actually complete a project.
Inter-departmental communication is not were it should be
Not sure how the Windstream merger will change the culture.
Advice to Senior Management – More consistent focus and buy-in from upper management on a single project would greatly improve everyone's ability to get things done.
