No growth opportunities, sweatshop, regular layoffs even when finances are good

Manager (Current Employee) Sunnyvale, CA

ProsFantastic technology, smart people, 4 weeks of vacation.

ConsManagement does not value people or diversity - only profits, uniformity, and submissiveness. Work/life balance non-existent in some areas - the company owns you 24x7. Layoffs two plus times per year whether needed or not. Very political.

Advice to Senior ManagementFocus more on ethics and positive management styles, recognize people are assets that should be developed and nurtured. Board of directors could build a better, stronger company by replacing majority of exec management and requiring ethical business and management practices.
