Pros

Exciting technology, fast paced environment, great people

Cons

pay, profit sharing... home / life balance, long hours, stress

Advice to ManagementAdvice

There are far too many middle managers, most barely qualified to run a McDonalds.

I have been working at Nuance for more than 10 years

    Pros

There are still some great people around, but they are going quickly...
I learned much over the last 10 yrs.

    Cons

Now the company seems to be trying to reduce employee pay and experience to the bare minimums and pay Paul Richie 50,000,000 a year for run it...

Very, very sad to see it go down this way.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try to remember who produces the income and customer loyalty. Further, try to remember anything over the last quarters profit and loss report...

I have been working at Nuance full-time for less than a year

    Pros

I want to reevaluate in 6 months, benefits could be worse, but not for a company of this size.

    Cons

Buying so many companies in a short period of time, impossible to transition people and processes with any success. The products and market purchased just aren't worth the purchase price paid. If Nuance doesn't understand the human value of highly productive employees meeting their goals, then everyone looses..

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Just pay attention- and don't get too big or it becomes impossible to affect the business culture when you are ready to do it.
