I have been working at Nurse-Family Partnership full-time

Pros

This non-profit business makes a measurable social impact, so most employees feel good about the work they do. It is challenging and "NFP" is being widely recognized for success in healthcare, social, non-profit and government circles. Pay and benefits are quite good for a non-profit.

Cons

Leadership doesn't have the confidence of most employees, as there is no understanding of a real strategy for long-term success. There are few ways to move up inside the organization.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listent to the employees who work with customers -- they have a lot to tell you.

I have been working at Nurse-Family Partnership full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

You can feel proud of the mission you are supporting. NFP has a wonderful cause. I feel proud every day begin part of NFP's good work.

    Cons

Upper-level management is not responsive to employee needs. They do often survey employees asking what needs to change in the culture/management, so there are good intentions. Unfortunately, very few of the suggestions are ever followed up. Nothing seems to change

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Provide more competitive salaries, more opportunity for REAL employee input in decisions, and more opportunity for advancement within the company.
