I have been working at OANDA full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

- flexibility
- opportunities
- fun

Working at OANDA is a lot of fun, because in general the people you get to work with are awesome. Fun-loving and creative people who have a lot of (typically at least) energy to do their jobs, and do it right.

Cons

- lots of legacy systems/etc to wade through

We've built up quite a legacy of product and code and sometimes it can be daunting to wade through when things need to change, but there's lots of momentum and incentive to fix these things now, so it's exciting.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

The current change we're undergoing is worth it, and is seeing positive results. I think our future looks awesome.

    Pros

    Cons

    No raise. Management is disorganized.

    Do what you preach

  2. Good people and enjoyable working environment but lack of quality assurance from top to bottom

    I worked at OANDA

    Pros

Relaxed, laid back style of headquarters for a brokerage firm. More of a tech company than brokerage.

    Cons

Lack of infrastructure in relative terms but inability to change and adapt to keep up with competition but seems its reputation continues to hold up

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Reputation management is key and with one that is already regarded highly, all necessary growth may be reliant for company to create the infrastructue and communication lines on both horizontal and vertical levels

    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
