I worked at OHSU full-time for more than 3 years

Pros

The people you work with everyday are fabulous. They make this place work.

Cons

The upper level management has a bizarre obsession with politics that unfortunately trickles down heavily and the executive level leadership is completely out of touch. All of this makes honest communication very difficult.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen more. Really listen. You have some of the most highly educated staff anywhere. You can learn a lot from them. And stop hiring consultants.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Top management needs to make rounds with staff nurse to understand why we make certain requests. Nurses care naturally caring people. We need you to care about us too.
