Pros

The product is the best in the industry, bar none. It's a great fit for a wide range of applications and offers several opportunities within a single prospect/client. Product experts are some of the best in the business.

Cons

Company struggles to maintain a consistent vision from the top down. Internal systems and processes can be a major challenge. Many sales require significant "reselling" around renewal due to an overstretched client services team.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Invest in more resources for client services, maintain a consistent vision to move the company forward to the next stage.

    Pros

    Flexible schedules in a great work environment with team members that are supportive and work as a team. New hires get training that is beneficial to help them understand how ON24 does business and interacts with clients. Growth opportunity after a short time period with departments.

    Cons

    At times communication is a barrier and difficult between sales and production as contracts and terms of those may run long. Different geographical locations of clients and locations can pose time barriers also.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Continue doing what you are doing in showing care and concern with your employees. Presenting those internal networking events. Continue to work at decreasing the communication barriers.

    Pros

    The P10 webcasting platform is innovative and allows you to do some cool things for customers. You generally have a lot of automony, little micromanagement, and opportunity to learn a lot about the webcasting world. It's possible to work remotely sometimes. Good environment to do things without permission first and ask for forgiveness later.

    Cons

    Lack of micromanagement translates, usually, to no management. Directors are overwhelmed and unable to provide support, guidance and mentoring to their direct reports. There are limited opportunities to "move up." On the client services side, the highest rung is as a Technical Account Manager, maybe director, but it is not a job most people would choose to do. If you work remotely, you will be passed over for the small number of promotions available. More opportunities to take your experience, leave the company, and sell it to someone else.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Create a compensation and benefits structure that attracts talent who can challenge the internal "status quo." Embrace transparency, internally and externally. Lots of energy is spent hiding "issues" from clients. Decide if you are a technology services provider or virtual event consultancy. Clients are "sold" on virtual events expertise and consulting then disappointed when we are just providing them a platform and making them figure most of it out themselves.
