Pros

The pay is decent and you get a comp card which is very nice. You are eligible for 3 weeks of Paid-Time-Off which is also nice.

Cons

This company is soooooooooo unprofessional it is hard to know where to begin. Given its size you would think it would be structured like a blue chip company, but it is a joke. The organization is the most political I have ever worked in and is full of cliques. There is no professional leadership and the credentials of the leadership are more fitting of a fraternity or sorority president than a corporate executive. If you are the fortune 100 or 500 type and want to work with a reputable company I would not work at OSI as you will not progress with the industry. Also, OSI has no HR so there is very little support of its employees.

Advice to Management

Take your business more seriously and get rid of the good old boy network. Quit acting like this large company is some sort of fraternity or sorority--it is ridiculous.

    I have been working at OSI Restaurant Partners

    Pros

    -Big checks equal big tips
    -Getting time off is easy
    -Great discounts
    -New building (new heating/cooling)
    -Looks great on resumes
    -Job is pretty clean

    There's alot of pros that make the job seem enticing. The problem lies in the cons. They're few, but they're big ones.

    Cons

    -The staff is used to complaining. They do it regularly to the point of insanity.
    -The "deals" make it great for the customers but encourage a cheaper clientele to dine and tip less.
    -The operating partner (franchise owner) sets unrealistic goals, insults his employees when stressed, and completely lacks managerial ability even though he is there regularly.
    -Management is pushy and micromanages to the point of frustration.

    Advice to Management

    Trust your employees more. They know how to do their jobs.

    Pros

    The only good thing about working there was the coworkers. And you would earn about 650 a week which is comparable to my carear job now.

    Cons

    Waiting on tables just sucks,management is overworked and underpaid and they let you know it. It was very hard to call out sick.

    Advice to Management

    Take a chill pill, you signed up for this to be your carear not us. Stuff is gonna go wrong in that industry probably everyday-learn to deal with it better.
