I have been working at OfficeMax as an intern (less than a year)

Pros

Company is very proactive in improving operations now due to the tough economic conditions. So they are open to new ideas and suggestions.

Cons

I have heard it is still pretty bureaucratic in the way it does it stuff.

    Pros

    There are no pros for this company.

    Cons

    Only people without skills get to move up.
    Does not take care of long term employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    If you have someone busting their butt, let them know they are doing a good job instead of telling them that they could do better. You get more flies with honey. Respect you employees.

    I worked at OfficeMax full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

    I can think of nothing good to say!

    Cons

    Low pay - No bonus structure - Poor management structure - poor HR hiring process - disrespectful to chain of command - NO command structure - no policy enforcement - HR non-existent - poor delegation - poor distribution of sales force - Extreme non-productive Liberal organization and NO reprimand for noncompliance.
