    Pros

The university has a good retirement through Public Employees Retirement System. Good benefits.

    Cons

If you have been employed for a good lenght of time with the university, it may affect your ability to change positions within the university without taking a paycut.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Restore the ability to move around within the university. Employees who are able to move around within the university have more knowledge of the university as a whole making them more valuable to the university. Provide better HR training to management.

    Pros

Employee meal every 4 hour shift
Full-time managers are friendly and relaxed
Co-workers are willing to help; it's a team environment
    Fairly flexible scheduling
Easily accessible lockers for while you're at work

    Cons

    Not allowed to take tips
Late-night shifts tend to cater to a high percentage of inebriated customers and walking home afterwards is not always safe.
    Parking a serious issue.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Close the same time the bars on campus do. The amount of money being made after that point is not enough to compensate for putting employees in danger when they get off work. At the very least close before campus transportation and student safety stop running. Also, allow workers that live off campus to park in the Union garage for free. I have to walk 20 minutes to and from work after driving to campus during the day because that's where the nearest available parking is located.
