Pros

There is an environment of caring, they really want to make sure things get done right. Benefits have improved over time. They offer Domestic Partner benefits which shows their willingness to be competitive in the market.

Cons

It is a large organization, and not for profit, so sometimes change happens slowly

Advice to Management

The Senior leaders seem to have a great respect for opinion and surround themselves with thought leaders.

I worked at OhioHealth full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good benefits, plenty of training opportunities, nice discounts around central Ohio.

    Cons

The senior management situation is a nightmare. There is rampant nepotism and favoritism not based on qualifications. The only way to advance is if you buy-in completely. Opposing views are not welcome. Additionally, the environment is so toxic that your directors will hold you back or hide you from sight in order to protect their own jobs and then pass off your work as their own.

    Advice to Management

Start over. Quit hiring cronies from around the country that you know will agree with you 100% and create a culture that believes in hard work for the good of the company paying off - not hard work for the good of your boss.

I worked at OhioHealth full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Benifits were good but fading. Typically saleries in management are good... but life expectancy not so great. Positioned well with investments.

    Cons

OhioHealth is the Most Profitable - Not For Profit I have ever worked for. That comes at a cost of not enough staff, continual change and poor management. Senior Management issued a dunce cap to an employee for not getting a report on time. Reported to HR and nothing was done. Sexually harrased the same employee 3 months later and all he had to do was appologize. Not a healthy place.

    Advice to Management

This is a great place to get the experience/title and LEAVE. If you are in management you are a number. Try and do the right thing and your number might be called.
