I worked at Old Navy part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Management for the most part (Kenwood, Cinci) is very helpful and approachable. Cool fellow sales associates who are very good about taking/giving shifts. I was virtually always able to get unwanted shifts covered :)

    Cons

Depending on the day/shift you work, it can be lethally BORING. You can only tidy up so many times during a 4 hr shift. Speaking of shifts, they're rarely more than 4.5 hrs and they don't give out many hours, which can be a good or bad thing for different people with different circumstances.

I worked at Old Navy part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Awesome management. I felt that if I had stayed and worked hard, I could be promoted. My manager was very understanding of scheduling. I felt respected working here by my boss and coworkers.

    Cons

recite RIDICULOUSLY long special promotion every time you pick up phone
so many promotions it's hard to keep track
    outdated registers
unrealistic staffing = perpetual messy sales floor
getting people to sign up for credit cards is never easy
rude customers (but hey, that's retail)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire and schedule more staff to help maintain the store! The place was always a dump, even if you had a couple sales associates cleaning up during a shift. The registers are outdated, and sometimes doing simple cashier tasks are unnecessarily difficult.
