Pros

I was hired as a seasonal associate, and was only kept for the seasonal period.
Overall, this was a very good first job in retail. The hours were very manageable and were easy to balance with school and other activities. Everyone I met was very helpful.

Cons

I only was kept for the seasonal period and was never trained on the registers.

    Pros

Extremely flexible with scheduling, compensation/pay is much higher than other retail positions, co-workers are friendly, managers are generally helpful and friendly, work isn't difficult, overall freedom in work (managers are generally not breathing down your neck).

    Cons

Sometimes can be understaffed which creates issues in keeping store clean, while the freedom is nice, sometimes there isn't enough direction, hours are extremely competitive and during off-season there is a significant decrease in available shifts.
