I have been working at Old Navy part-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    Flexible schedules
    Great part time job
Employee discount at all Gap brands
Opportunities to advance within the company
    Friendly and fun environment

    Cons

This is a great part time job due to pay rate. You typically start at or within a couple dollars of minimum wage as a sales associate. You can typically earn a raise yearly, but they tend to be less than $.50/hr. You can also only expect to work around 20 hr/wk. Like I said- great part time job.

I worked at Old Navy part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Solid part-time work, customers were generally friendly, management works well with your schedule. Coworkers are also generally friendly; no concerns about the company outlook for the next ten years

    Cons

Management could run the store better, particularly with scheduling (sometimes only 3 working the store, sometimes 3 more than necessary, etc); little opportunity for advancement - but then it's part time; impossible to find someone to cover your shift

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Learn when you need (and don't need) people on the floor; hold employees accountable
