    Pros

Very friendly atmosphere. Job is easy, common sense stuff. The discount is pretty nice and since the clothes are already lower in price, you can get a closet full of stuff for dirt cheap.

    Cons

The pay is pretty much minimum wage if you have little or no experience. Even if you have experience, do not expect much more than minimum wage. Also, don't expect many hours. You are extremely lucky if you can get more than 16 per week. If you are older than college-age, you can feel a little disconnected to some of the younger employees who are basically sex-crazed giggly girls and boys who don't have any real bills, so they aren't too concerned with work ethic. Of course, this isn't every teen, but my store sure had its fair share. The company tries to push the Old Navy Credit card, and all employees on the floor/fitting room as well as the cashiers are expected to sign up people daily. They do offer some incentives for being good at this. And to be fair to the company, you aren't punished for being unable to sign up people as long as you are trying.

    Advice to Management

To the store managers: be willing to do what you ask your employees to do. Sitting in your office all day chatting with the assistant manager is NOT what you are being paid for. If you can see that timelines are not going to be met, perhaps you should pitch in and help.

  2. If you are willing, great place for growth.

    Pros

*Easy to move into higher positions.
*Pay raise based on performance, attitude, and overall evaluation.
    *Easy tasks.
    *Great co-workers.
    *Plenty of training.
    *Awesome employee discounts!

    Cons

*Unstable hours (especially during down months).
*Hours are given more easily to those who can better sell. Hours are performance based more than equally or based on your availability.
*Frustrating work (customers will completely destroy a section you just beautifully recovered without hesitation or shame).
