I worked at Old Navy part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    -Easy work, and easy tasks.

-There were no cameras in our store, so we could sneak our cell phones and talk to one another when managers weren't looking.

    -Discount.

    Cons

-Managers were awful. They were so lazy and had the employees do most of the work. One time, I was asked to sweep the floor, and two managers literary stood in front of me, talking to each other while I swept the mess.

-The pay is pathetic. You would be lucky to get at least ONE 4 hour shift a week. They had old navy card contests, and whoever opened up the most cards got to make their own schedule, so they would give themselves 40 hours a week, which means the other associates got either no hours or just 4 hours a week.

-The emphasis on old navy cards is ridiculous. They make you do slave labor so they can take credit for it and get their bonuses.

-Recovery was awful, especially during busy days. They change their merchandise and move it around so much, it's pointless to remember where something is located.

-They wanted you to play personal shopper to the customer.

-Politics between managers: they never took responsibility for their own mistakes and blamed each other.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Most of them are only high school educated, so asking them to be professional would be a waste of time. Please value your employees.
