I worked at Omgeo

Pros

While salary isn't great the vacation time is pretty good (3 weeks).

Cons

Nothing at Omgeo is across the board. Everything is dependent upon your individual group's management. While flexible schedules and career advancement are touted, they ARE NOT available to all functions. Additionally, while the company claims transparency into corporate decisions the bottom line is they are like every other company in America only they "sell the dream" that they're different.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Choose one path and stick with it. By rolling out new corporate initiatives and the cuts that come with them every three months, you have to put the right people in charge and give their ideas time to create results.

I have been working at Omgeo

    Pros

Decent salary wage. Good location. In a good position to network with other people.

    Cons

Not much opportunity to advance. Career Development Plans do not materialize into anything rewarding. Career advancement is focused more on who you know and not so much on actually being qualified.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

More organization and formal structure needed. Revamp policies and protocols in client operations. Promote within instead of hiring external candidates.
