Pros

Good Pay "only in northern states". Plenty of freedom no manager constantly lurking over your shoulder. Great company for your resume if you plan on staying in the hospitality field. I was hourly rather than salary. <<<GOOD THING

Cons

Long hours, working every holiday and weekends. As housekeeping supervisor I was sometimes working from 8am to 8pm. I averaged 44-50 hour work weeks. Good thing I was paid hourly. Don't like salaries fool you 14$hr is more than 30k if you're working close to 50 hours regardless.

Advice to Management

Invest more into employees who show interest in moving up in the company!

    Pros

It is a good place to get experience. $1.00 lunches.

    Cons

The company used to do a lot more to make their employees feel appreciated. This may be specific to the San Antonio property but working there became akin to being hazed daily by an evil sorority. The Managers were unprofessional and immature and treated the hourly staff as if they were lesser quality people. It was even suggested that we lie on employee satisfaction surveys.

    Advice to Management

All employees should be treated with respect and have their grievances heard without threat of retaliation by managers. Hourly employees should not be treated as if they were children. Management should also consider looking to promote from the talented pool of employees they have instead of stringing them along with promises they have no intention of ever delivering on.
