I worked at Omni Hotels full-time (More than a year)

Pros

There were opportunities to learn should you be liked by the upper management. Cross-training is an option which makes the experience more enriched.

Cons

Upper management did not communicate well with lower level employees. There was a 'I'm better than you' feel to some of them.

    Pros

The benefits are great as are the people. The hours are rough.

    Cons

Hours, meetings-there is a meeting about having a meeting.

    Advice to Management

Listen, do not come off so crass

    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

National upscale chain of hotels Good employee hotel rates Mostly good, well intentioned people Decent healh insurance

    Cons

Disorganized project planning. Under budgeting of projects VERY HIGH STRESS LEVEL Generally lower pay than the employment level would expect VERY CALLUS attitude when dismissing an employee: You are lucky to get 2 weeks severence. When dismissed you clean up your desk, exit process and "don't let the door hit you in the butt"

    Advice to Management

Get organized corporately. Have all departments "in tune" with each other. Treat your employees with respect, even when dismissing them. Pay more competitive salary.
