    Current Employee - Sales Manager

    Pros

Omni provides a good salary and is a privately held company. The company is expanding which should lead to additional opportunities.

    Cons

The benefits have been cut drastically over the past 2 years. The focus on cost savings far outweighs the focus on employee satisfaction. Training and development is non existent.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Increase focus on human capital, it is what will differentiate Omni from the competition.

Hotel discount, nice coworkers, thats it...

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Appreciate front line associates, do not creat an environment of fear, treat employees with dignitiy and respect... I worked at the Shoreham for almost a year, and when they started recuriting people straight out of college with no hotel expereince instead of promoting someone who knew the company and the culture to a front office manager position, I realized this company clearly did not care about its "mission" and took it's employees for granted. The front office director was one of the only managers that could effectively work with and manage employees. She was a treasure and there would be NO REASON anyone would want to work there except for her.
