I have been working at Omni Hotels full-time (less than an year)

Pros

This is a great, quirky, fun, close knit community of professionals dedicated to the customer experience. The leadership here starts with the empowerment of the individual and feels transparent all the way to the top. Great place for hard work to get recognized, rewarded and promoted. Not your typical "Corporate Culture". Omni leadership does a great job connecting to the staff and making each person feel accountable and recognized.

Cons

A lot going on all the time with lean resources which makes for a heavy workload. You should never get bored or run out of things to do. Compensation and benefits could be stronger to assure retaining top talent.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue to embrace the philosophy of developing, promoting and retaining talented individuals. Your people are what make your brand of service compelling.

    Pros

Great company culture, focuses in the associates to feel recognized and to grow.

    Cons

Money is fine, but when you transfer to another location is a fixed percentage and sometimes doesn't make sense. Some hotels are too old and they want you to shine.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Guest surveys -Medallia are unfair at times when you working in an older property.

    Pros

Company is privately owned, so you don't feel like just another number. Senior level leadership is open and friendly, and extremely proficient. Really feels like a small family, and they definitely take care of their employees with development plans and training programs. Beautiful hotels wherever you go!

    Cons

As with any hotel business, properties never close, so problems with shifts and schedules can sometimes be a hassle. Hours can be long, as situations may require you to stay much longer than intended. Therefore, sometimes low work/life balance.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

None that comes to mind. Wonderful company to work for.
